Coking coal imports via Mundra surge m-o-m in June

July 18: Coking coal imports through Mundra Port during June 2014 rose almost five times to 226,447 tons from 45,000 tons recorded in May 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In June 2013, coking coal imports via the port stood at 80,302 tons.
Total imports of coking coal through Mundra Port during the first three months of 2014-15 stood at 314,447 tons against 312,714 tons reported during the same period of the previous financial year.

During June 2014, the entire material came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 6,175-Rs 8,980 ($103-$150) per ton whereas in May, the entire quantity came from Australia at a price range of Rs 9,017-Rs 9,130 ($150-$152) per ton.
