Coking coal imports via Mundra up 2.98% m-o-m in Feb

March 14: Coking coal imports through Mundra Port during February 2014 rose almost 2.98% to 50,836 tons from 49,364 tons recorded in January 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In February 2013, coking coal imports via the port stood at 171,892 tons.
Total imports of coking coal through Mundra Port in the first 11 months (April-February) of 2013-14 stood at 975,402 tons against 1,354,720 tons recorded in the same period of the previous financial year.

During February 2014, the entire material came from Australia at a price range of Rs 7,943 - Rs 9,293 ($126-$148) per ton whereas in January 2014, the entire material arrived from Australia at a price range of Rs 8,032 - Rs 9,253 ($129-$147) per ton.
