Coking coal imports via Mundra up 4.65% m-o-m in May

July 1: Coking coal imports through Mundra Port during May 2014 rose almost 4.65% to 45,000 tons from 43,000 tons recorded in April 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In May 2013, coking coal imports via the port stood at 217,412 tons.
Total imports of coking coal through Mundra Port during the first two months of 2014-15 stood at 88,000 tons whereas the figure stood at 232,412 tons during the same period of the previous financial year.

In May 2014, the entire quantity came from Australia at a price range of Rs 9,017-Rs 9,130 ($150-$152) per ton whereas during April 2014, the entire material also came from Australia at a price range of Rs 8,317-Rs 9,122 ($138-$150) per ton.
