Coking coal imports via Mundra up 91% m-o-m in Sept

October 28: Coking coal imports through Mundra Port in September 2014 rose almost 91.09% to 77,206 tons from 40,403 tons recorded in August 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In September 2013, coking coal imports via the port stood at 78,880 tons.
Total imports of coking coal through Mundra Port during the first six months of 2014-15 stood at 499,584 tons against 525,594 tons reported during the same period of the previous financial year.

In September 2014, the entire quantity came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 6,572-Rs 8,973 ($108-$147) per ton whereas during August 2014, the entire quantity came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 6,822-Rs 8,973 ($110-$147) per ton.
