Coking coal imports via New Mangalore fall 74.62% in Aug

October 1: Coking coal imports through the port of New Mangalore stood at 14,500 tons in August 2013, down 74.62% from 57,135 tons in July, as per information available with ICMW.
The import of coking coal import through the port during first five months (April-August) of FY'14 stood at 214,855 tons, down from 340,790 tons during same period last year.

In August 2013, the entire material came from Australia at a price of Rs 6158 ($94-$100) per ton whereas during July 2013, the entire material came from Australia at a price range of Rs 6,038-Rs 9,975 ($100-$167) per ton.
