January 3: Washery grade coking coal (W3 and W4) offered on the e-auction conducted by coaljunction for Coal India Ltd (CIL) subsidiaries during December 2013 met with good demand as out of 250,150 tons offered, 197,260 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,454/ton.
However, in November also, the offering met with good demand as out of 279,800 tons offered, 242,410 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,854/ton.
In October, the offering met with moderate demand as out of 212,300 tons offered, 181,080 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,406/ton.
