November 6: Washery grade coking coal (W3 and W4) offered at e-auction conducted by coaljunction for Coal India Ltd (CIL) subsidiaries during October 2013 met with moderate demand as out of 212,300 tons offered, 181,080 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,406/ton.
In September 2013, the offered quantity met with moderate demand as out of 238,450 tons offered, 174,360 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3180/ton.
However, In August, the offered quantity met with good demand as 85.13% of the 326,200 tons offered was allotted at a premium of 0-106%. The total allotted quantity stood at 277,700 tons and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,361/ton.
