November 15: Coking coal prices fell sharply on increased offering from miners and traders, but steam coal rates remained firm in major markets across the world on November 14, industry sources said.
"Some stock liquidation was witnessed in the coking coal segment where demand continued to remain sluggish, forcing offer prices to drop by around $4.00 per ton across the category" they said.
In the steam coal category, coal prices remained largely unchanged with a slight upward bias in Australian varieties.
