March 5: Washery grade coking coal (W3 and W4) offered on the e-auction platform conducted by coaljunction for Coal India Ltd (CIL) subsidiaries during February 2014 met with good demand as out of 421,100 tons offered, 366,130 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,936/ton.
However, in January 2014 too, the offering met with good demand as out of 469,300 tons offered, 363,130 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,119/ton.
In December 2013 also, the offering met with good demand as out of 250,150 tons offered, 197,260 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,454/ton.
