July 4: Washery grade coking coal (W3 and W4) offered on the e-auction platform conducted by coaljunction for Coal India Ltd (CIL) subsidiaries during June 2014 met with good demand as out of 220,400 tons offered, 185,900 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,104/ton.
In May, washery grade coking coal offered also met with good demand as out of 192,750 tons offered, 153,850 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,924/ton.
Similarly, in April, washery grade coking coal offered on the e-auction platform conducted by coaljunction for CIL subsidiaries also met with good demand as out of 201,650 tons offered, 187,150 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,715/ton.
