May 27: Good demand was witnessed for washery grade (W3 & W4) coking coal offered by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) for allotment through the MSTC platform during April 2014.
During April, 248,750 tons were offered for allotment out of which 225,750 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,921 per ton.
However, in March 2014, a total of 230,200 tons of coking coal was offered for allotment out of which 228,500 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the material stood at Rs 3,265 per ton.
On the other hand, in February 2014, a total of 172,050 tons of coking coal was offered for allotment out of which 134,200 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the material stood at Rs 3,113 per ton.
