August 27: Fair demand was witnessed for washery grade (W3 & W4) coking coal offered by Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) for allotment through the MSTC platform in July 2014.
During July, a total of 306,440 tons of coking coal was offered out of which 284,810 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,148 per ton.
However, in June, 138,500 tons were offered for allotment out of which 87,850 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,199 per ton.
On the other hand, May saw poor demand for the same grades as of the 218,800 tons offered for allotment, 211,290 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,764 per ton.
