July 30: Moderate demand was witnessed for washery grade (W3 & W4) coking coal offered by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) for allotment through the MSTC platform in June 2014.
Poor demand was witnessed for washery grade (W3 & W4) coking coal offered by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) for allotment through the MSTC platform during May 2014.
In June, 138,500 tons were offered for allotment out of which 87,850 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,199 per ton.
May saw poor demand for the same grades as of the 218,800 tons offered for allotment, 211,290 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,764 per ton.
However, in April, 248,750 tons had been offered for allotment out of which 225,750 tons had got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,921 per ton.
On the other hand, in March 2014, a total of 230,200 tons of coking coal had been offered for allotment out of which 228,500 tons had got allotted and the weighted average price of the material had been Rs 3,265 per ton.
