June 24: Good demand was witnessed for washery grade (W3 & W4) coking coal offered by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) for allotment through the MSTC platform during May 2014.
During May, 218,800 tons were offered for allotment out of which 211,290 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,764 per ton.
However, during April, 248,750 tons were offered for allotment out of which 225,750 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,921 per ton.
On the other hand, in March 2014, a total of 230,200 tons of coking coal was offered for allotment out of which 228,500 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the material stood at Rs 3,265 per ton.
