November 4: Washery grade coking coal (W3 and W4) offered on the e-auction platform conducted by coaljunction for Coal India Ltd (CIL) subsidiaries in October 2014 met with very strong demand as the entire offered quantity of 120,910 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,497/ton.
However, washery grade coking coal offered during September 2014 met with moderate demand as out of 116,630 tons offered, 65,475 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,137/ton.
During August, W3 and W4 grade coking coal offered met with good demand as out of 95,250 tons offered, 78,860 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,231 per ton.
