October 14: Spot coal prices continued to decline in the international markets as traders remained apprehensive of further slowdown in Chinese demand in the coming months.
Prices softened across markets even though Australian miners were most concerned about the Chinese move on import tariffs on coal. An existing oversupply scenario affected the sentiment in the met coal market, traders said.
