Daqin Jul coal transport at 34.37 mt

Daqin line, China’s leading coal-dedicated rail line, transported a total 34.37 million tonnes of coals in July, up 1.79% on month but down 11.7% on year -- the eleventh consecutive year-on-year drop, showed the latest data on August 4.
That accounted for 92.4% of its initial monthly target, data showed.
In July, Daqin’s daily coal transport averaged 1.1 million tonnes, 1.51% lower than the month prior.
Over January-July this year, Daqin accomplished a coal transport volume of 240.2 million tonnes, dipping 8.93% year on year.
That was 57.2% of Daqin’s transport target for 2015, which was set at 420 million tonnes.
In addition, Houyue line transported 6.62 million tonnes of coal in July, dropping 18.85% on year, and down 2.12% on month, accounting for 81.1% of its monthly target.
Over January-July, total coal transport by Houyue line amounted to 47.16 million tonnes, down 6.63% on year.
