Dec anthracite coal imports via Chennai show m-o-m increase

January 14: Anthracite coal imports via Chennai port increased to 212 tons in December 2013 against 55 tons reported in November 2013, as per provisional data available with ICMW, showing a huge increase.

In December, the consignments arrived from China in a price band of Rs 24,225 - Rs 18,039 ($385-$287) per ton.

In November, 36 tons arrived from China at Rs 26,009 - Rs 26,213 ($411-$414) per ton while the balance 19 tons came in from Vietnam in a band of Rs 30,591 - Rs 32,312 ($483 - $510).
