Dec gypsum imports via Vizag rise manifold m-o-m

January 9: Gypsum imports through the port of Vizag rose manifold in December 2013 to 133,437 tons in against 39,510 tons reported in November, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In December, 38,052 tons arrived from Iran in a price band of Rs 1,544 - Rs 4,658 ($25-$74) per ton, 55,078 tons arrived from Oman in a price band of Rs 1,826 - Rs 9,705 ($26-$156) per ton, 40,225 tons arrived from Thailand in a range of Rs 1,778 - Rs 5,409 ($28-$86) per ton and 82 tons arrived from Saudi Arabia at a unit price of Rs 10,307 ($165).

In November 2013, imports included 39,205 tons from Thailand at Rs 1,790 ($28) per ton, 128 tons from Iran at Rs 4,577 ($73) per ton and 78 tons from Oman at Rs 9,520 - Rs 9,861 ($151-$156) per ton, among others.
