January 8: Imports of met coke via Magdalla Port stood at 72,250 tons during the month of December 2014, up 23.98% whereas in the previous month import through the port stood at 58,275 tons, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
During December 2014, 27,250 tons came from China at a price range of Rs 13,321-Rs 13,342 ($203-$213) per ton, 10,000 tons came from Japan at a price range of Rs 13,848-Rs 14,125 ($221) per ton whereas the balance 35,000 tons came from Poland at a price range of Rs 13,574-Rs 13,867 ($213-$217) per ton.
However, in November, out of the entire material, 20,000 tons came from China at a price range of Rs 13,193-Rs 13,342 ($213) per ton whereas the balance 38,275 tons came from Japan at a price range of Rs 13,693-Rs 13,848 ($221) per ton.
