Dull trend in October pet coke despatches

November 03: A dull trend prevailed so far as despatches of petroleum coke in October from domestic refineries is concerned due to festivals, an official of a refinery told ICMW

“Last month was dull because of festivals like Diwali and Navratra as it significantly reduced the number of working days and it was quite normal, but there was no major change in demand-supply situation,” the official said.

The despatches of pet coke via railway rakes from major refineries in September stood at 103 rakes, according to information available with ICMW.

The despatch figure for October, which is not yet available with ICMW, may come down a bit from September, if the comments of the official is any indication.
