May 26: Spot coal prices remained range-bound on May 23 amidst limited buying enquiries on reports of availability of distressed Australian steam coal cargo of 5,500 Kcal/kg, market sources said.
Major enquiries still eluded the market even as prices in some cases - like that of South African standard cargo – firmed up, they added.
The current trend is likely to be extended to May 26 as well, they feel.
