October 31: Eastern Coalfields Ltd (ECL) has obtained environmental clearance (EC) for a cluster of underground (UG) and opencast (OC) mines located in the Burdwan district of West Bengal, according to data released by the Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF).
These mines are Dabor UG, Bonjemeheri UG and OC, Sangragarh UG and OC and Dalmiya UG project. ECL obtained EC for the projects on October 20.
The total production capacity of these mines is 370,000 tons per annum.
