Ennore Port’s permissible draft increases to 16 Metre

The Permissible draft Chettinad Terminal of Kamrajar Port Ltd at Ennore increased from 14.50 metre  for all times to 16.0 metre during day light hours.

Restrictions at Ennore Chettinad Coal Terminal are Air draft at 19.0 metre, LOA at 274 metre, Beam at 38 meter and Minimum Hatch opening dimensions at (LxB): 13 metre x 10 metre.

“The 1.5 metre increased draft will help the port to handle panamax vessels and improve the business”, a port official said.
