Ennore steam coal imports down 11% in Feb m-o-m

March 19: Steam coal imports through Ennore Port dropped 11.34% to 833,680 tons in February 2015 against 940,266 tons in January 2015, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
Imports of the material in February 2014 stood at a heftier 1,046,722 tons.
In the first 11 months of the current financial year (2014-15), non-coking coal imports through the port stood at 10,784,684 tons against 6,890,324 tons imported during the same period in 2013-14.

During February 2015, the entire material came in from Indonesia at a price range of Rs 2,4 85-Rs 5,145 ($40-$82) per ton.
In January 2015, 869,205 tons came in from Indonesia at a price range of Rs 346-Rs 31,426 ($6-$504) per ton.
