Environmental Authorization granted for the Makhado Project - CoAL

Coal of Africa Limited announced that the Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism has granted Environmental Authorization in terms of National Environmental Managementand the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (2010) for the Makhado Project with effect from 30th August 2013.
Mr David Brown executive chairman of CoAL said that "We welcome the decision by LEDET, which is a further step towards achieving full regulatory compliance for the Makhado Project, and enabling meaningful contribution to the socio-economic transformation of the Limpopo Province.”
Mr Brown said that “We are fully committed to creating sustainable value in the areas in which we operate, and will continue to engage with all our stakeholders to ensure the responsible development of the Makhado Project."
Meanwhile CoAL is an AIM/ASX/JSE listed coal exploration, development and mining company operating in South Africa.
