September 15: Exports of South African coal to China stood at nil during August 2014, replicating the previous month’s trend, according to data made available to ICMW by one of the promoters of the terminal.
Exports of South African coal to China in August 2013 stood at 1,233,441 tons.
With this, total exports of South African coal to China stood at 2,492,629 tons during the first eight months of 2014, sharply down by 70.08% from 8,331,289 tons exported during the corresponding period of 2013.
