Imports of limestone via Gangavaram Port were up 54.22% to 1,010,602 tons in fiscal 2015-16 against 655,286 tons in 2014-15, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Similarly, imports of the material via the port rose 100.57% month-on-month to 100,594 tons in March 2016 against 50,154 tons seen in February 2016.

During March 2016, the entire material came in from the UAE at a price range of Rs 1,155-Rs 1,165 ($17-$17) per ton.
