Imports of petroleum coke through Karaikal Port during 2015-16 (April-March) stood at 1,100,352, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Imports during the last five months (November-March) of 2014-15 stood at 313,011 tons. ICMW does not have data for the first seven months of 2014-15.
Imports of pet coke through Karaikal Port in March 2016 stood at 65,563 tons, down 66.27% from 109,011 in February 2016.

In March 2015, a volume of 50,563 tons came from Saudi Arabia at Rs 2,680 ($40) per ton and the remaining 15,000 tons from the United States at a unit price of Rs 3,291 ($48).
In February 2016, a volume of 52,728 tons of pet coke came from Saudi Arabia at a unit price of Rs 3,389 ($50) per ton while the remaining 56,283 tons came from United States at a unit price of Rs 3,127 ($46).
