July 30: There was fair demand for G-5 grade (GCV 5,801 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) coal offered by five subsidiaries of Coal India Ltd (CIL) for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in June 2014, as 258,800 tons got allotted against the offered quantity of 323,300 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 3,838 per ton.
There was good demand for the same grade of coal offered by four subsidiaries of Coal India Ltd (CIL) for allotment in May 2014, as 50,612 tons got allotted against the offered quantity of 51,582 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 3,472 per ton.
However, there was moderate demand for G-5 grade coal offered by five subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in April 2014, as 150,320 tons got allotted against the offered quantity of 231,250 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 3,881 per ton.
On the other hand, there was moderate demand for G-5 grade coal offered by six subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through the platform of MSTC in March 2014, as 136,790 tons got allotted against the offered quantity of 211,210 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 3,355 per ton.
