April 2: There was fair demand for G-5 grade coal (GCV range 5,800 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) at the e-auction platform of coaljunction in March 2014 as out of 146,630 tons offered, 144,552 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,526/ton.
In February 2014, out of 229,300 tons offered, 178,209 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,343/ton.
However, in January 2014, out of 342,830 tons offered, 291,320 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,603/ton.
