Fair demand was witnessed for G4 grade coal (GCV between 6,101 and 6,400 Kcal/kg) in the month of December 2015, as out of the entire quantity of 202,230 tons offered by South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL),Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) and Central Coalfields (CCL), a volume of 86,258 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,833 per ton, according to data available with ICMW.
Poor demand was witnessed for G4 grade coal in the month of November 2015, as out of the entire quantity of 45,570 tons offered by SECL, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and CCL, only a volume of 1,950 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,790 per ton.
However, moderate demand was witnessed for G4 grade coal in October 2015 as out of the entire offered quantity of 134,650 tons by ECL and WCL, 99,352 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,055 per ton.
