Fair demand was witnessed for G8 grade coal (GCV range of 4,901-5,200 Kcal/kg) offered by MCL,SECL,CCL and WCL in the February 2016 e-auctions on coaljunction as out of the offered quantity of 212,500 tons, a mere 64,290 tons were allotted, fetching a weighted average of Rs 2,046, according to data available with ICMW.
However, low demand was witnessed for G8 grade coal offered by CCL in the January 2016 e-auctions on coaljunction as out of the offered quantity of 30,000 tons, a mere 8,500 tons were allotted at a weighted average of Rs 2,028.
Similar kind of low demand was witnessed for G8 grade offered by CCL and WCL in December 2015 on coaljunction as out of the offered quantity of 30,200 tons, 7,700 tons were allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,614.
