There was fair demand for coal offered by Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) in the spot e-auctions on coaljunction in financial year 2015-16 as out of the entire offering of 3,921,900 tons, as much as 1,336,123 tons got allotted, according to data available with ICMW.
However, there was no offering in March 2016 in the spot e-auction of Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) on coaljunction.
After a month’s gap, SCCL offered 742,000 tons of coal for sale through the spot-e auction platform of coaljunction in February 2016. But the response from participants was very poor as only 185,329 tons or only 25% of the total offering got allotted.
The company had not offered coal for sale through spot e-auction in January 2016.
The total offered and allocated quantities by SCCL on coaljunction in 2014-15 stood at 3.02 mt and 1.91 mt as compared to 1.93 mt and 1.58 mt respectively in 2013-14.
