Fair demand was witnessed in the auction of G6 grade (GCV range of 5,501-5,800 Kcal/kg) coal on coaljunction in January 2016 as out of the entire offering of 229,370 tons by SECL, ECL, BCCL and CCL, as much as 89,440 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,868 per ton, according to data available with ICMW.
Similarly, fair demand was witnessed in the auction of G6 grade coal on coaljunction in December 2015 as out of the entire offering of 254,620 tons by SECL, ECL, WCL and CCL, as much as 96,550 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,848 per ton.
However, better demand was witnessed in the auction of G6 grade coal on coaljunction in November 2015 as out of the entire offering of 90,000 tons by SECL, BCCL, WCL and CCL, as much as 47,810 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,940 per ton.
