December 7: Fair demand was witnessed in the auction of G6 grade (GCV range of 5,501-5,800 Kcal/kg) coal on coaljunction in November 2015 as out of the entire offering of 90,000 tons by SECL, BCCL, WCL and CCL, as much as 47,810 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,940 per ton, according to data available with ICMW.
However, fair demand was witnessed in the auction of G6 grade coal on coaljunction in October 2015 as out of the entire offering of 169,380 tons by SECL, WCL, ECL and CCL, as much as 86,700 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,077 per ton.
=In September, very strong demand was witnessed for this grade as out of the entire offering of 78,250 tons by SECL, BCCL, WCL and NCL, 77,100 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,841 per ton.
