Imports of met coke via Magdalla Port stood at 1,02,564 tons in February 2016, up 1.67% from 100,877 tons imported in January 2016, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first 11 months (April- February) of the current fiscal (2015-16), met coke imports through the port stood at 1,049,626 tons while 283,748 tons had been imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

In February 2016, out of the entire import volume, 6,000 tons came from Australia at a price range of Rs 7,073-Rs 7,125 ($103-$103) per ton, 44,190 tons from China at a price range of Rs 8,422-Rs 10,118 ($122-$148) per ton and 52,374 tons from Poland at a price range of Rs 11,594 -Rs 12,063 ($169-$175) per ton.
In January 2016, out of the entire import volume, 3,000 tons came from Australia at a price of Rs 6,970 ($103) per ton, 33,877 tons from China at a price range of Rs 9,775-Rs 10,391 ($145-$152) per ton, 44,000 tons from Japan at a price range of Rs 10,861-Rs 11,055 ($162-$162) per ton and 20,000 tons from Poland at a price range of Rs 11,801 -Rs 11,967 ($175-$175) per ton.
