April 20: Spot prices of Australian and South African steam coal inched up on April 17 despite not much improvement in actual transaction volumes, market sources said.
On the other hand, a soft trend was witnessed for Indonesian coal prices, they said.
Coking coal prices dipped further, but no real deals took place at current levels as miners are not willing to sell their material at such prices, they added.
