September 17: A flat trend with little movement in prices was marked on the first day of the week beginning September 16 in international coal markets, a day after prices of South African and Australian steam coal had firmed up a bit, industry sources said.
The official announcement of the end of the strike at Drummond mines in Colombia appears to have prompted buyers to wait and watch the impact in European markets and, as such, prices in other markets remained flat, they added.
