G-1 grade coal fails to attract bid in April spot e-auction

May 6: Good demand was witnessed for G-1 grade coal (GCV above 7,000 Kcal/Kg) coal offered by BCCL of Coal India Limited (CIL) for allotment through the e-auction of platform of coaljunction during April 2014 as the offered quantity of 10,000 tons of coal failed to attract any bid during the month.
However, good demand was witnessed for G-1 grade coal coal offered by NEC of CIL for allotment through the e-auction of coaljunction in March 2014 as out of 29,250 tons offered, 24,890 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 6,006 per ton.
In fact, good demand was witnessed for G-1 grade coal coal offered by NEC of CIL for allotment through the e-auction of coaljunction during February, 2014 as out of 42,500 tons offered, 37,300 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,972 per ton.
