G-1 grade coal fails to attract demand in May e-auction

June 24: No demand was witnessed for G-1 grade coal (GCV above 7,000 Kcal/kg) offered for allotment via the e-auction platform of MSTC during May 2014 as the entire quantity of 10,000 tons of coal failed to attract any demand during the month.
However, good demand was witnessed for G-1 grade coal offered for allotment via the e-auction platform of MSTC during April 2014 as out of 26,500 tons offered, 19,140 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 6,200 per ton.
A fair demand was also witnessed for G-1 grade coal offered for allotment via the e-auction platform of MSTC during March 2014 as out of 69,250 tons offered, 45,790 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,404 per ton.
