G-1 grade coal sees good demand in March spot e-auction

April 2: Good demand was witnessed for G-1 grade coal (GCV above 7,000 Kcal/Kg) coal offered by NEC of Coal India Limited (CIL) for allotment through the e-auction by coaljunction during March 2014 as out of 29,250 tons offered, 24,890 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 6,006 per ton.
However, good demand was witnessed for G-1 grade coal offered by NEC of CIL for allotment through the e-auction of coaljunction during February, 2014 as out of 42,500 tons offered, 37,300 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,972 per ton.
In January, no such coal was offered.
