April 3: Very strong demand was witnessed for G-13 (GCV between 3,400 and 3,700 Kcal/kg) grade coal offered in the e-auctions conducted on the coaljunction platform during March 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 80,000 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,042/ton.
During February 2014, very strong demand was witnessed for G-13 grade coal offered in the e-auctions conducted on the coaljunction platform as the entire offered quantity of 677,000 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,080/ton.
However, in January 2014, out of the offered quantity of 1,260 tons, only 60 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,497/ton.
