G-2 grade coal sees strong demand in April e-auction

May 27: A strong demand was witnessed for 11,000 tons of G-2 grade coal (GCV between 6,701 and 7,000 Kcal/kg) offered for allotment via the e-auction platform of MSTC during April 2014 as the entire quantity got allotted during the month at a weighted average price of Rs 4,930 per ton, according to information available with ICMW.
However, no demand was witnessed for 20,750 tons of G-2 grade coal offered for allotment via the e-auction platform of MSTC during March 2014.
During February, no such coal was offered.
