New UserG-3 grade coal sees moderate demand in June e-auction

July 30: There was moderate demand for G-3 grade (GCV of 6,401-7,000 Kcal/kg) coal offered by SECL and ECL for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in June 2014, as 10,700 tons got allotted out of the offered quantity of 15,850 tons during the month at a weighted average price of Rs 5,384 per ton
There was no coal of this grade offered on the MSTC platform in May but a strong demand was witnessed for this coal via the e-auction platform during April 2014 as out of the offered quantity of 22,500 tons, a total of 22,460 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,911 per ton.
Moderate demand was witnessed for G-3 grade coal offered for allotment during March 2014 as out of the offered quantity of 3,000 tons, 1,690 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,071 per ton.
