May 7: There was a strong demand for G-6 grade coal (GCV range 5,501-5,800 Kcal/kg) on the coaljunction e-auction platform in April, with as much as 99.82% of the offered quantity getting allotted.
During April, out of 140,400 tons of G-6 grade coal offered, 140,150 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,306/ton.
However, in March, out of 291,110 tons of G-6 grade coal offered, 213,120 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,023/ton.
In February, out of 309,880 tons of G-6 grade coal offered, 261,830 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,814/ton.
