G-7 grade attracts high demand in Oct e-auction

November 28: There was high demand for G-7 grade (GCV ranging from 5,201 to 5,500 Kcal/kg) coal offered by BCCL of CIL for allotment through the MSTC platform during October 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 3,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,415 per ton.
However, a more or less fair demand was witnessed for this grade offered by four subsidiaries (CCL, WCL, ECL and SECL) of CIL during September 2014 as out of the offered quantity of 76,110 tons, 74,280 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,180 per ton.
Similar to October, there was strong demand for G-7 grade offered by two subsidiaries (CCL and BCCL) of CIL during August 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 3,800 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,049 per ton.
