New UserG-7 grade coal attracts good demand at February e-auction

March 26: Good demand was witnessed for G-7 grade (GCV ranging from 5,201 to 5,500 Kcal/kg) coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through the MSTC platform during the month of February 2014 as out of 256,360 tons offered, 230,940 tons got allotted at the e-auction at a weighted average price of Rs 2,507 per ton.
However, no demand was witnessed for G-7 grade coal offered by CCL for allotment through the MSTC platform during the month of January 2014 as 8,000 tons offered failed to attract at any bid at the e-auction.
However, there was good demand for G-7 grade coal offered by CCL and NCL for allotment through the MSTC platform during the month of December 2013 as out of the 358,460 tons offered, 350,460 tons got allotted.
