New UserG-7 grade coal attracts good demand in July e-auction

August 29: There was good demand for G-7 grade (GCV ranging from 5,201 to 5,500 Kcal/kg) coal offered by two subsidiaries (CCL and SECL) of CIL for allotment through the MSTC platform during July 2014 as 35,410 tons got allotted out of the offered quantity of 38,250 at a weighted average price of Rs 2,934 per ton.
On the other hand, there was poor demand for G-7 grade coal offered by two subsidiaries (CCL and BCCL) of CIL for allotment through the MSTC platform during June 2014 as only 10,100 tons got allotted in the offered quantity of 30,000 at a weighted average price of Rs 2,349 per ton.
In May, however, very strong demand was witnessed for this grade offered by two subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through the MSTC platform as the entire offered quantity of 28,500 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,504 per ton.
