New UserG-7 grade coal attracts moderate demand in March e-auction

April 23: Moderate demand was witnessed for G-7 grade (GCV ranging from 5,201 to 5,500 Kcal/kg) coal offered by two subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through the MSTC platform during March 2014 as out of 66,940 tons offered, 33,510 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,600 per ton.
However, good demand was witnessed for G-7 grade coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through the MSTC platform during February 2014 as out of 256,360 tons offered, 230,940 tons got allotted at the e-auction at a weighted average price of Rs 2,507 per ton.
However, no demand was witnessed for G-7 grade coal offered by CCL for allotment through the same platform in January 2014 as 8,000 tons offered failed to attract any bid.
